Plus, he showed serious acting chops in The Truman Show and Man on the Moon, winning a Golden Globe. Oh, and remember Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? He was great in that too, playing Joel Barish.
Before hitting it big, he cracked jokes in Toronto clubs. Then he made the leap to LA, where he landed a spot on In Living Color in 1990.
In the 2000s, he kept us laughing in big comedies like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bruce Almighty, where he played the Grinch and Bruce Nolan, respectively.
He’s had quite the romantic journey. First, he was married to Melissa Womer and they had a daughter named Jane. Then came a short marriage to Lauren Holly. After that, he dated Jenny McCarthy for a while. Tragically, his relationship with makeup artist Cathriona White ended with her passing. He gave Love another shot with Ginger Gonzaga, but that didn’t last long. Oh, and there was a brief thing with Anchal Joseph too.
